Most of us have a story to tell when it comes to the sanctity of our hearts and our bodies; we’ve all been made to feel less than, asked to be different than we are, or had our boundaries violated. It only takes one voice or one kind word to become a shelter for another person. It takes less than a minute to offer a space—even if only energetically—within which someone can rest and know they’re not alone.
I am imperfect. I am a work in progress. I am a survivor. But if nothing else, I hope to be a haven.
